General Settings: Facility Information, Branding & Localization
The General Settings module is the foundational configuration hub for your Invent Medical platform. Proper setup here ensures that all system-generated documents, invoices, and communications accurately reflect your clinic's identity and operational context.
1. Facility Information
This section defines the identity of your medical practice within the system.
- Clinic Name: The official name that appears on all headers, patient portals, and reports.
- Contact Details: Primary business phone, support email, and physical address.
- Registration/License Numbers: Crucial data points for legal compliance, typically printed on invoices and official medical records.
- Operational Hours: Used by the system to validate appointment availability and set expectations for patient communication.
2. Branding
Consistent branding reinforces professionalism and trust. Use this section to align the platform’s interface with your clinic’s visual identity.
- Clinic Logo: Upload a high-resolution logo to be automatically applied to invoices, prescription pads, and the patient portal.
- Color Palette: Customize the platform’s primary and secondary accent colors to match your brand style guide.
- Portal Banner: Set a custom header image for the patient-facing web interface to welcome your patients.
- Document Footers: Add personalized footer text (e.g., mission statements or social media links) that appears on all exported PDFs.
3. Localization
Localization ensures that Invent Medical operates correctly within your specific geographic and cultural context.
- Time Zone: Sets the master clock for the system, ensuring that appointment timestamps, audit logs, and automated notifications are accurate.
- Language & Region: Determines the display language for the interface and default currency formatting for billing.
- Date & Number Formats: Adjusts how dates ($DD/MM/YYYY$ vs. $MM/DD/YYYY$) and currency are displayed to comply with local standards.
- Taxation Rules: Configure local tax settings (e.g., VAT, GST, or Sales Tax) to ensure all financial calculations are compliant with regional regulations.
4. How to Configure
- Navigate to Settings > General in the main sidebar.
- Select the relevant tab (Facility, Branding, or Localization).
- Input your clinic's specific data or upload the required assets.
- Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page to apply your updates across the platform.
